8. Refund Policy

Scope of the Service. The listing fee purchases ExitBid's service: moderation review, publication of the listing, hosting of the 5-day auction, buyer Q&A moderation, listing analytics, and access to the post-auction deal room. That service is deemed rendered in full upon the close of the auction period - whether or not bids were received, and whether or not the Seller and the winning Bidder subsequently complete a transfer between themselves (Terms of Service, Section 4.5).

ExitBid.io provides refunds in the following scenarios:

8.1 Moderation Rejection

8.2 Seller Cancellation Before Publication

If a Seller requests cancellation of their listing before it has gone live for public bidding, the listing fee is refunded in full to the original payment method, minus any non-refundable payment-processor fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30 for card payments; cryptocurrency processing fees are non-refundable). Refunds are processed within 5 business days.

8.3 Auction Cancelled by ExitBid

If ExitBid.io cancels an active auction for technical reasons, platform outages exceeding 24 hours, or internal moderation decisions post-publication that are not caused by Seller misconduct, the listing fee is refunded in full within 5 business days.

8.4 Buyer Fees

ExitBid does not charge Buyers any fees - bidding is free after one-time phone and email verification (see Terms of Service Section 5.1). Because nothing is collected from Buyers, there is nothing to refund to Buyers.

8.5 What Is Not Refundable

The following scenarios do not qualify for a refund of the listing fee:

• Completed auctions with no bids. Receiving zero bids during the 5-day auction period is a normal market outcome. The listing fee pays for publication, moderation review, and listing exposure - not a guaranteed sale.
• Listings removed post-publication for violation of Terms of Service Section 9 (Prohibited Content) or misrepresentation.
• Seller-initiated withdrawal after the auction has gone live (early termination by the Seller is not supported once bidding has begun).
• Unsuccessful transfer negotiations between winning Buyer and Seller after a completed auction. Transfer disputes are governed by Terms of Service Section 7 and are outside the scope of ExitBid's refund policy.

8.6 Refund Timeline

All approved refunds are processed within 5 business days to the original payment method. Funds may take an additional 1–10 business days to appear in your account depending on your bank or card issuer. If you do not see the refund reflected after 10 business days from our processing confirmation, email support@exitbid.io with your transaction reference and we will escalate the trace with our payment processor.

8.7 How to Request a Refund

Submit refund requests to support@exitbid.io including: (a) the email associated with your account, (b) the transaction date and amount, (c) the reason for the refund request. We will respond within 3 business days.
